Personalized Firearms Training
(By appointment)
Personal Trainers have become very popular in the physical fitness world. Your personal safety preparedness is no less important. You can work with an RTC Instructor to establish a plan for increasing your skills and confidence level. Just like fitness it just takes time and practice. We can help you to reach and exceed your goals.
Some people tell us they are uncomfortable going to public ranges with strangers that have unknown levels of skill and safety. We offer our clients scheduled private training sessions at our private club range with an instructor that is also a Chief Range Safety Officer. For many, the opportunity to train with a firearm in a group class setting is limited. Our personal training sessions at the range maximize your training time by having a highly skilled instructor coach you one-to-one in marksmanship and skills to build confidence that you CAN protect yourself and your loved ones.

Pistol Training
Level 1
Basic Pistol Skill Development – Phase 2
Cost: $160 (5 Hour Course) Click here for Class Dates and Registration
This two-part course meets and substantially exceeds the training Florida requires to apply for a concealed weapon and firearm permit.
Short Description: The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting is a two-part course consisting of an e-learning portion (completed online-in your own timeframe at www.nrainstructors.org) and a hands-on practical portion conducted at the range under the guidance and supervision of an NRA-Certified Instructor. This course is intended for all adults regardless of previous shooting experience or NRA-affiliation.
More Details: Some of the topics in the course include: gun safety rules, proper operation of revolvers and semi-automatic pistols, ammunition knowledge and selection, selecting and storing a pistol, the fundamentals of shooting, and pistol inspection and maintenance. When you enroll in the online course, you create a personal identification number (PIN). When you successfully complete the course, printing your certificate activates that PIN. The activated PIN allows you to register for the instructor-led training portion of the course.
During the instructor-led-training portion of the course, an NRA Certified Instructor will validate comprehension and application of gunsafety rules; range protocol; proper handling; loading and unloading procedures; application of pistol shooting fundamentals; stable shooting positions; live fire; and a final shooting qualification. The goals are to build your skills and confidence in handling a firearm beyond the basic requirements and prepare you for further skill development. The entire course will meet the training Florida requires to apply for a concealed firearm permit. The Phase 2 hands-on range time will substantially exceed these requirements with a goal of increasing skill, confidence, and marksmanship with a pistol using one-to-one instruction and coaching.
These are small intimate classes that allow for close attention, coaching, and a focus on safety, while still having fun. Private and semi-private classes are also available upon request.
Students should bring their firearm (UNLOADED!!!), 100 rounds of ammunition, plus hearing and eye protection to the range. Limited rental firearms, eye/ear protection, and ammunition are available for an additional cost. Please inquire before registering.
