RTC Firearms Training embodies a spectrum of elements spanning from inherent mindset, evaluating your environment, to safe and accurate firearm manipulation. It is important to understand that handling a firearm starts in the mind, and is substantially more involved than just operating a firearm. Perfecting our own body mechanics and studying our world will allow us to constantly adapt to any environment and scenario we may find ourselves faced with. Critical thinking, sensible threat analysis, and a honed skill-set will yield the capacity to shoot accurately and improve safety.
As advanced students, we must immerse ourselves in a training environment to develop our thinking, before we can develop our shooting skills. It is our responsibility to ensure we are perpetual students in the safe handling of firearms.
The Discipline of Firearm Handling begins in the mind. Building upon our inherent mindset, understanding and manipulating our bodies, and perfecting our skill sets with the most up to date training, will allow us to develop greater accuracy, with abilities that far exceed our expectations. By learning how to effectively manipulate a firearm the way it was designed, we can then use these tools to our advantage, by adapting our skills to each individual platform, and utilizing them to their fullest potential.
The Evaluation of your Environment takes the most time and effort to perfect. One cannot learn this step by studying, but rather must be immersed in a variety of scenarios and environments to learn how to effectively navigate in order to become mentally involved in each and every aspect of their surroundings.
The Science of the Threat is an ever-changing field of study. Knowing the specifics of our threats allows us to utilize dynamic problem solving skills and the tools at our disposal in order to effectively and efficiently disrupt the missions of the threats that are presented to us.
